What is Shakira's latest swipe at ex Gerard Piqué as he looks set for engagement to Clara Chia Marti

It’s been a year since Shakira and Gerard Piqué split after 11 years together but the singer is still clearly holding a grudge.  The Columbian singer has taken another swipe at her ex-partner and father of her two children in her new track.

Shakira shared a six-second clip of her upcoming single on her Instagram profile with many fans picking up on the many references to her split from the footballer. 

The song produced by Manuel Turizo and features the lyrics “You are always busy with so much business. It would be nice, my love, a little leisure” and “'Relax here on the sofa and give me your attention. The phone rings, use your hand with me. I know you're hot, but I'm much hotter.” is due to be released on June 29.

The former couple split over allegations that Gerard had cheated on the singer. After returning from a work trip Show News reported that Shakira found a jar of strawberry jam in her fridge that had been eaten. The 'Waka waka' singer presumed he was having an affair after discovering the empty jar and knowing that none of her family liked it. 

It’s not the first time the ‘Hips don’t Lie’ singer has taken a swipe at her ex through her music after previously making digs in the song Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol. 53. Shakira. also made a reference to the strawberry jam in her fridge during a brief moment in the music video for Te Felicito. The song is a collaboration with Puerto Rican singer Rauw Alejandro and sees just his head in the fridge.

In August just a few weeks after their split Gerard quickly moved on and started dating Clara Chia Marti. According to the Daily Mail the sports star is set to 'announce' his engagement any day now.

Shakira has been enjoying the single life after being linked to high-profile celebrities. Mission Impossible star Tom Cruise was seen flirting with the singer during the  F1 Grand Prix in Miami and allegedly sent her flowers. But he appeared to lose out to his friend Formula one racing driver Lewis Hamilton. The ‘She Wolf’ singer and racing driver are rumoured to be dating after spending time together at the Spanish Grand Prix.
