Taylor Swift and David Beckham are in the news for winning six awards and continued controversy over role at Qatar World Cup

Oh Taylor Swift! No sooner have you made People World’s not so hot list, you make a triumphant return to the top spot of who's hot. This is surely indicative of how easy it is in the celebrity world to be in the news for the wrong reasons and then turn it around the very next day!

Taylor Swift made a surprise appearance at the American Music Awards in Los Angeles to accept six awards, wow Taylor, really six? Her appearance almost made everyone, including me, forget that a tour ticket fiasco even occurred! Well done Taylor and her PR team, you deserve an award for that alone.

Monday mornings are not normally everyone’s favourite time of years, but I can guarantee fans of Harry Styles, or ‘Stylers’ have woken up today feeling energised. Harry is ‘hot’ today as he is most definitely ‘single’ after breaking up with Olivia Wilde. However, we at People World don’t like celebrities remaining single for long, and have ‘matched’ him up with potential future A-list dates….

Last but by no means least on the hot list today is the incredible Fleur East. Not only did she receive the first 40 of the series, but she made Strictly’s Craig cry, no mean feat! This was the first time Strictly Come Dancing had returned to the historic Blackpool Tower Ballroom since 2019, so it made her score even more special!

Now onto the not so hot list… Step up Andrew Garfield. If the rumours are to be believed, Andrew now appears to be ‘dating’ Bridgerton’s Phoebe Dynevor after hitting it off at the GQ Awards. So what’s wrong with that? Well, nothing of course… It is because he was seen getting cosy on the same night with Normal People’s Daisy Edgar Jones. Come on Andrew, both women deserve a lot better!

Next up is social media sensation Salt Bae…In case you don’t know who he is, he is the man whose technique for preparing and seasoning meat became an internet meme way back in January 2017. He has now gone on to own a chain of luxury steak restaurants worldwide.

However, he has got himself into a bit of hot water recently after bragging about a customer's £140K bill at his Abu Dhabi restaurant. There may have been fourteen guests there, but it still worked out at £10,041 per person! The cost of living crisis clearly hasn’t entered Salt Bae’s world!!

David Beckham is the last person to grace the who’s not list today. As the World Cup is already underway, it is impossible for his £150m Qatar ambassador role not to be scrutinised even more than it has been. He has tried to defend his role by saying the World Cup will be a platform for ‘progress, inclusivity and tolerance,’ but I think it is impossible to defend something that is indefensible.
