Lead singer of the band Bleachers, Jack is also a songwriter and producer and has collaborated on Tay Swift albums ‘1989’ and ‘Folklore’. It was also Jack who reportedly introduced Taylor to her now ex-boyfriend Matty Healy after previously being spotted out on a double date with Jack and Margaret.

How long have Jack Antonoff and Taylor Swift been friends for?

The pair have seemingly been besties for many years but how long have they actually been friends for and when did they first meet?

The singers met at the MTV MTV European Music Awards in November 2012 and according to People bonded over their shared love for the band Yazoo. A year after their first meeting Jack co-wrote and co-produced "Sweeter Than Fiction" for the ‘One Chance’ soundtrack.

As well as being a producer on Taylor’s 1989 album, Jack’s relationship with then girlfriend ‘Girls’ actress Lena Dunham inspired her to write the song ‘You Are in Love’. After the success of ‘1989’ which won a Grammy for Album of the Year, Jack was brought in to help produce ‘Reputation’, ‘Lover’, ‘Evermore’ and ‘Folklore’.

Not only do the pair work together, but they seemingly love spending time together out of the studio too. Often sharing snaps on Instagram, celebrating each other’s birthdays, attending the Grammys, or partying at Coachella. These two certainly are the best of friends and they are sure to continue making music we love together, so we can maybe forgive him for introducing her to Matty - well maybe.
