Are Taylor Swift and Matty Healy writing songs together? It wouldn't be the first time

Could the Taylor Swift and Matty Healy dating rumours all just a PR stunt and the pair are just working on new music together? Swiftie's [Taylor Swift fans] certainly hope so. 

The rumour mill has been going wild that Taylor and 1975 frontman Matty are dating just a few weeks after her split from actor Joe Alwyn. The pair have been spotted leaving the recording studios in New York together and the London boy has been seen on the side-lines at many of her concerts recently. 

Although the pair have also been spotted kissing and Matty has been seen leaving her NYC apartment with a very large overnight bag on a few occasions so it’s safe to say they are most likely dating. 

But the rumour that they are planning on writing songs together may also be true. An insider recently told The Sun “Things are moving fast. They’re head over heels. It’s been decided he will help her pen songs and he might even provide some vocals.”

“He’s been inspired after attending several shows on her US tour, but they won’t have a lot of time to work together this summer, as The 1975 also have their shows.”

“They are working things out, though, and are keen to make it happen. Ideally, he would like a proper collaboration, with the whole band involved. That’s the only way Matty will ever appear on stage with her.”

Appearing to refer to the alleged on stage PDA (public display of affection) announcement that was meant o have been planned. Taylor and Matty were reportedly going to announce they were a couple live on stage during one of her Era’s Tour performances in Nashville with the lead singer joining her on stage and the pair kissing - which didn’t happen. 

Matty isn’t the only 1975 band member to be dating a popstar. Drummer George Daniel is dating singer Charlie XCX (real name Charlotte Emma Aitchison) since Spring 2022 and not to jump on the bandwagon but they too are planning on writing music together. 

The couple first met after working on the track ‘Spinning’ by No Rome featuring Charlie XCX and the 1975. In an interview the ‘Boom Clap’ singer revealed that she has been ‘influenced’ by her musician boyfriend and wants to be more specific with her lyrics. 

Could this be a new trend of couples writing music together? Power couples Beyoncé and Jay Z and Rihanna and A$AP Rocky have all successfully released music together could Avril Lavigne and Tyga be next or can we expect new music from rumoured couple Selena Gomez and Zayn Malik, here's hoping.
