Swift has been breaking records, and making waves in the music industry until the very last moment of the year with an announcement coming out just this week that Midnights, which was released in October, helped vinyl sales past the sale of CD’s for the first time since the 1980’s.

The singer’s fans, also known as ‘Swifties’, have made her tenth album the UK’s biggest selling-vinyl record of the century, and with that have pushed annual revenue made by the sale of vinyl album sales above CD sales for the first time since 1987.

Fans had been desperate for new music after Swift spent 2021 re-releasing her second and fourth albums, Fearless and Red respectively, which of course included never before heard songs from the songwriter. Swift announced ‘Midnights’ while picking up an award at the VMA’s, and when the album dropped it soared to the top of charts globally, and even crashed Spotify.

13) Taylor snagged her sixth Song of the Year Grammy nomination this year for "All Too Well (10 Minute Version)." She's never won the category, but she is the female artist who has been nominated for it the most times. She is tied for most nominations in the category with Paul McCartney and Lionel Richie.

It’s hard to keep up with Swift who has been on a roll - releasing two albums in 2020 and 2021, and Midnights this year.

And there's no signs of the superstar slowing down yet. She is nominated for four Grammy awards - Best Song, Best Music Video, best Song Written for Visual Media, and Best Country Song - many of which she is arguable a favourite for.

She is also nominated for a Golden Globe for Best Original Song off the back off 'Carolina' for film 'Where the Crawdads Sing'.
