The Jesus Lizard, one of noise rock’s most hallowed names, has announced a series of UK tour dates as part of their “Rack” album tour - where are they playing?

Hallowed noise rock outfit The Jesus Lizard, an unwavering influence of many post-hardcore and alternative rock acts that followed, are set to perform in the United Kingdom in early 2025!

The group are set to hit the road to support the long-awaited follow-up to their last album, “Blue,” which was released 26 years ago. “Rack,” released through Ipecac Records on September 13 2024, has already seen a single drop from the album in the form of “Hide & Seek.”

Lead singer David Yow calls the song “a perky ditty about a witch who can’t behave, and it’s got nearly as many hooks as a Mike Tyson fight.” Longtime fans of the band will no doubt once again appreciate the slightly sardonic nature of his response.

Formed in 1987 in Austin, Texas, known for their intense live performances and abrasive sound blending punk, noise rock, and post-hardcore elements, they released several acclaimed albums, including "Goat" (1991) and "Liar" (1992), which showcased their raw, aggressive style and Yow's confrontational stage presence.

Their involvement in the independent music scene led them to collaborate with influential figures such as the late Steve Albini, who produced some of their records, contributing to their signature sound. Additionally, The Jesus Lizard gained recognition through their appearances in music documentaries like "1991: The Year Punk Broke," which captured the essence of the alternative music scene of the time.

According to the band’s tour poster, The Jesus Lizard is performing on the following dates at the following venues.

January 7 2025: QMU, Glasgow
January 8 2025: Academy 2, Manchester
January 9 2025: Brudenell Social Club, Leeds
January 10 2025: The Fleece, Bristol
January 11 2025: Electric Ballroom, London
January 12 2025: Concorde 2, Brighton

When and where can I get tickets to see The Jesus Lizard on their UK Tour?

Though tickets have yet to have a release date, looking at Ipecac’s official website shows most of the UK shows will be ticketed by See Tickets. NationalWorld Music will update our article when we get more information on general ticket sale dates.
