Record Store Day 2024 is dawning upon us, giving many music fans (or vinyl anoraks like some of us here at NationalWorld’s music section) a chance to see what new releases are set to make their way on the always popular 12” format. For some owners of record stores, however, it might be another case of telling people how many Taylor Swift vinyls are available to pre-order, as is now tradition during previous Record Store Day…

Be it the sound of an album crackling underneath the pin of a record player, or those memories of spinning a tune on the turntable and getting nostalgic about the first time you listened to it, for many picking up a vinyl release also gives them a chance to have album artwork in a much larger format compared to their cassette and CD counterparts.

But what, to British music fans, are the most recognisable album covers of all time? There’s plenty on the list, with Curry’s having conducted the survey - do you agree with the rankings of these album covers or is there another one you’d think should have taken the place of one of these twenty?

Answers on a postcard to [email protected] - until then, here is what the surveyed UK music fans believe are the most recognisable album covers in music history.

Record Store Day 2024 takes place on Satruday April 20 2024 across the United Kingdom.
