She encouraged a part of me I didn’t know existed.”
In her second post on Tina Turner, Oprah Winfrey recalled how she was given the chance to join Tina onstage during her ‘Wildest Dreams’ tour. Oprah said: “Dancing on stage with her in Los Angeles was the most fun I ever remember having stepping out of my box. Tina lived out of the box and encouraged me and every woman to do the same.”
Tina was born in Brownsville, Tennessee, USA, in 1939 and moved to Switzerland back in 1995. In 2013 she married music producer Edwin Bach and both David Bowie and Oprah Winfrey were reportedly two of the high profile guests at the wedding.
