However, judge Craig Revel Horwood felt there was no “connection” between them. Speaking on the spin-off show It Takes Two on Tuesday evening Amy said she “disagreed” with Craig “for the first time.” Since returning to the dancefloor this year following her battle with breast cancer Amy Dowden and JB have quickly become firm favourites to win the show.

Amy was diagnosed with stage three breast cancer in May 2023 when she was 32 years-old. The professional dancer shared her experience in a BBC documentary Strictly Amy: Cancer and Me as well as launching a book ‘Dancing in the Rain’.

The Strictly dance star recently shared an ‘appreciation post’ for her husband Ben Jones. Sharing a snap of the couple on Instagram Amy wrote: “My [heart emoji], my rock, my husband! Love you xxxxx just a little appreciation post, helping and guiding me back on the dance floor.”
