After Anton Du Beke reveals he was stabbed by his father in interview, who is his wife Hannah Summers?

Anton Du Beke is set to be a guest on ITV Kate Garraway Life Stories on Wednesday evening. The Strictly Come Dancing star, 57 revealed in the pre-recorded interview that he was once stabbed by his alcoholic father when he was a child. 

In an emotional admission Anton explained to Kate that he had never spoken about what happened in his entire life. Explaining that his alcoholic father Antal Xavier Beke was violent towards him and stabbed him in the leg and stomach, at their Kent home during a Boxing Day altercation. 

He said “I got stabbed in the leg and in the stomach because of a fight on Boxing Day and it was an idiotic situation. I remember walking out of the house to walk up to the hospital holding my leg and a police car drove past and I waved them down and I said 'he's in there with a knife'.

"Anyway, they carted him off and I ended up in hospital for three or four days. My only concern was getting back into the studio and dancing and the embarrassment of it."

Who are Anton Du Beke's parents? 

The Strictly judge was born in July 1966 to Hungarian father Antal Xavier Beke, and Spanish mother Ascensión Beke. He has two younger siblings, brother Stephen and his sister Veronica. Anton’s father died in 2001 and according to The Sun after his parents got divorced the TV star didn’t have any contact with his father. 

The Evening Standard reported “Garraway said Du Beke’s father was cleared in court of wounding his son and when he died, Du Beke did not attend his funeral."

Who is Anton Du Beke married to?

Anton met Hannah Summers after accidentally following her into the toilets at a golf club in 2011. Speaking on the Gaby Roslin Podcast the TV star explained how he didn’t make the best first impression after deciding to take his chance when the dinner was over. 

He said “Towards the end of the dinner, she gets up to leave the table and I thought to myself, right, here’s my chance I’m going to go and talk to her. I never gave it enough thought though because when you are at a dinner like this there are very few reasons to get up and leave the table, I basically followed her out to the ladies toilet. Brilliant.”

The couple married in 2017 and share twins George and Henrietta. Hannah is the Chief Marketing Officer for mobile phone security company AdaptiveMobile.
