Beast Games contestants allegedly secretly got married on the show - just two weeks after first meeting
A loved-up couple who met on the set on a reality show have got married - just two weeks after they first met.
When it comes to matters of the heart, the saying goes ‘when you know, you know’, and that may have been the thought for Beast Games contestants Monika and Jim.
The pair met on the set of the second season of Beast Games, hosted and created by Youtuber MrBeast, and sparks flew.
The show sees one thousand contestants compete in physical, mental and social challenges, for a chance to win a prize fund worth millions of dollars. Contestants Jim and Monika may or may not have won the show, but they have shared that they have arguably won the greatest prize of all - love.
Taking to her Instagram page, Monika shared the news that her and Jim actually got married during filming - just two weeks after they first met. Sharing a photo of herself in a wedding dress holding hands with her apparent new husband, she wrote: “Why fight for an island when you can fight for love instead?
She added thanks to their co-star and fellow contestant Jack, who allegedly led the ceremony. “Shoutout to @jack.p.mckenna for being the best ordained minister,” she said.
The reality star, who has just turned 28, added the hashtags #unseenbits #arewethereyet #behindthescenes #mrbeast #beastgames.
When one fan took to the comments and asked why footage of their wedding wasn’t recorded and included in the show, which is available to watch now on Amazon Prime Video, Monika replied “apparently there was no storyline”.
Monika also shared some more photos from the wedding, including an image of the rings on her and Jim’s fingers. His appears to be made of Lego, while hers appears to be made of some kind of twine.
It’s unclear if the wedding was legally binding or not, but the pair do appear to at least be in a relationship with each other. Jim has not posted about the wedding on his Instagram page. He commented on Monika’s post, however, and said: “Never wanted to go to an island less.”
Jack then confirmed that their wedding will be included in the extra behind the scenes moments for episode five next week. So, we’ll have to wait and see if the wedding was real or not.
