Giovanni Pernice: How many Strictly Come Dancing relationships has the professional dancer had?

Giovanni Pernice has seemingly waltzed his way into another Strictly Come Dancing relationship after the professional dancer was found to be secretly dating this year’s winner Jowita Pryzstal.

The ‘Italian Stallion’ who has been on the show since 2015, has become a firm favourite for the public by winning last year’s competition, but also a favourite for the contestants and Giovanni’s fellow professional dancers.

Giovanni and Jowita’s relationship was the ‘worst kept secret’ after they were reportedly seen kissing backstage on the BBC dance show and openly flirting at Chelsea football player Jorghino’s birthday party.

If the rumours are true and the two Strictly winners have won each other’s hearts, then Jowita will follow in the footsteps of Giovanni’s previous relationships - with the majority stemming from the same series.

Prior to Jowita, Giovanni has been in public relationships with two Strictly Come Dancing stars and has been romantically linked to another professional among other high-profile flings.

The most prolific relationship was Giovanni’s long-term girlfriend Ashley Roberts, who appeared on Strictly with another partner in the form of Pasha Kovalev, in 2018.

Ashley finished as a runner up in her season, but seemingly won overall as she dated Giovanni from 2018 until 2020.

Before Ashley, adding to the tale of the Strictly curse whereby the celebrities split from their current partner and end up with their professional partner, Giovanni dated Georgia May Foote in 2016.

Giovanni and Georgia were matched up on the BBC dance show in 2015 and made it through to the final to clinch second place.

While they found love the following year from their Strictly stint, the relationship only lasted eight months.

Another Strictly name that has been linked to the Italian dancer is Russian professional Luba Mushtuk, after fans questioned their relationship online. Queries came after the pair shared a video dancing together on social media, with Luba captioning the post: ‘my man’.

However, Giovanni quickly denied any potential rumours by stating: “Another day, another lady. So funny to read! Who will be up next?!”

Strictly fans may have reason to believe Gio was dating another leading lady as on top of Strictly matches, Gio has been in high-profile relationships with Love Island’s Maura Higgins and TV personality Jessica Wright.

Another name closely associated with Gio’s dating history also includes Inbetweeners’ star Emily Atack.
