The second part of Harry & Meghan premiered on Netflix on Thursday December 15, revealing some bombshells about the Royal Family and the institution.

The first half of the highly-anticipated series gave an in-depth look into the couple’s lives and how they first met. However, there was strong speculation the second part is going to be where all the secrets are revealed, and it certainly seems that way.

In one of the trailers for the second part of the docuseries, partner at Schillings Law Firm and Lawyer, Jenny Afia, can be heard saying: “I’ve certainly seen evidence that there was negative briefing from the palace against Harry and Meghan to suit other people’s agendas.” A friend went on to say that the Palace used Meghan as a ‘scapegoat’.

They also address their relationship with the Prince and Princess of Wales with Harry recounting a time when Prince William screamed and shouted at him during a damage control meeting. Harry went on to say that he had no idea about the famous joint statement released by Prince Harry and William at the time of Harry’s departure, until it was out. In the show he said: “They were willing to lie to protect my brother, but they weren’t willing to tell the truth to protect us.”

The series featured Prince Harry and Meghan Markle as well as some other familiar faces like tennis legend Serena Williams and other friends of the couple. Meghan’s friends revealed that they came together at the height of Markle’s media to defend her via an interview with People Magazine.

So, who were the women featured in the documentary? Here’s a breakdown of who Meghan’s friends are.

Who is Silver Tree?

Silver Tree is an American filmmaker from California. Tree met Markle while working on the TV show Suits, of which Tree directed ten episodes. She was in attendance at the wedding.

Tree spoke about Meghan in the documentary and their time working together saying: "She’d just bring this, like, lightness. And for a director, she is such a simple actor in that she is always natural, but is absolutely trusting. She didn’t overthink it, she just did it. And I think it put a lot of people at ease."

Tree also admitted to being ‘terrified’ for her friend’s safety during the scrutiny.

Who is Abigail Spencer?

Lucy Fraser is British and reportedly had a career in PR as the director of LERMeadmore Ltd from 2012 until the company was dissolved this year, and of Project Smooth from 2014-2015.

Fraser has been close friends with Meghan since before marrying Prince Harry and reportedly first made contact with Meghan when she was enlisted to help the actress on her lifestyle blog The Tig, named after her favourite wine, Tignanello.

Before Markle met Prince Harry, Lucy joined Meghan and another friend Lindsay Jill Roth, on a ‘single girl summer’ trip around Europe, following Meghan’s split from her boyfriend, Canadian chef Cory Vitiello, who she had dated since 2014.

In the documentary she accused the Palace of using Meghan as a ‘scapegoat’ to distract from other Royal family members’ negative press.
