Why did Holly Willoughby travel by helicopter to Glastonbury when performers Foo Fighters took the train?

Although This Morning fans were left unimpressed that Holly Willoughby decided to take a day off from the show after ‘living it up’ at Glastonbury, I have more of an issue with her mode of transport to get there. After the Phillip Schofield drama, the last thing that one would assume Holly would want is to attract more attention, but it would seem that this is not the case.

Rather than opt to be driven there, or take the train like Dave Grohl and Foo Fighters did, Holly Willoughby instead chose to arrive by helicopter, which however way you look at it is the most ‘look at me’ mode of transport imaginable. Although she looked like she was dressing down for the occasion in denim cut off shorts, and a fedora, her fringed jacket was anything but ‘low key’ and reportedly cost £1K.

Accompanying on her helicopter journey to Glastonbury were Holly Willoughby’s husband Dan Baldwin and a small group of friends. Holly was of course going to Glastonbury merely for pleasure whilst others who went there to perform such as Foo Fighters’ Dave Grohl and the rest of the band went there by train.

Yes I know, thanks to my colleague Benjamin Jackson that Dave Grohl and the rest of the band went first class, but he still went by TRAIN, and was still happy to pose for a photograph alongside rail staff member Brendan Cropper on the train from London’s Paddington station.

Although Holly Willoughby is due back on This Morning screens tomorrow, fans were quick to share their thoughts on the reasons behind her absence. One wrote: “ #Holly is recovering from #Glastonbury I hope #ThisMorning don’t do anymore lecturing environmental messages when their presenters use a helicopter to get to events!!' [sic] whilst another said: “'Awww poor Holly having to recover from Glastonbury…… bet she didn’t have to queue for 12 hours either.' (This was obviously referring to the ‘queue-gate’ controversy when Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield) faced a backlash after claims they ‘jumped’ the line to see the late Queen Elizabeth 11 lying in state.

Perhaps Holly realised her mistake at taking the helicopter to Glastonbury and decided to take the train back? Unfortunately, I very much doubt that this was the case…
