I'm A Celebrity 2025: Jack Osbourne's MS diagnosis explained - will he be participating in bushtucker trials?

Jack Osbourne has entered the I’m A Celebrity jungle alongside a host of other celebrities following the start of the 2025 series.

The presenter and son of Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne is ITV’s big-name signing this year, with Jack joining the show only a few months after the death of his dad. Viewers have already seen him being introduced to jungle life during Sunday’s launch episode.

While he is part of one of the biggest celebrity families in the world, many may not know about Jack’s health battle that once left him almost blind in one eye. Here’s everything you need to know.

What health condition does Jack Osbourne have?

Jack announced in 2012 that he had been diagnosed with relapsing-remitting Multiple Sclerosis (MS). He was only 26 years old at the time his diagnosis was announced.

MS is a chronic neurological condition which damages nerves and affect the transmission of message to different parts of the body. As a result, those diagnosed can suffer from a range of symptoms, including fatigue, numbness in limbs, vision issues and loss of balance. It is often unpredictable and can affect patients in a variety of different ways.

Jack previously revealed that he was first diagnosed after losing around 60% of his vision in his right eye. He also experienced numbness in both of his legs, as well as issues with his digestive and urinary system.

The diagnosis came three weeks after the birth of his daughter Pearl, with the star saying: “The timing was so bad. I'd just had a baby, work was going great - I kept thinking: 'Why now?'”

Will Jack Osbourne take part in bushtucker trials?

Bushtucker trials are an essential part of the I’m A Celeb experience, however campmates have been forced to sit them out in the past due to health issues.

Ahead of his stint in the jungle, Jack addressed concerns that his health condition could mean that he misses out on some bushtucker trials. However, he has batted off these concerns, saying that he will be trying his best to take part in the trials where possible.

Before heading into the jungle, Jack said: “I'm not a picky eater, and we will see. And maybe you are so hungry you will just want to eat anything! Heights do not bother me at all, because I have been climbing for years and I’ve done some pretty sizeable routes — so it’s not a problem for me. But I’m not really great with bugs.”

He previously revealed that his MS diagnosis did not severely impact his stint on Dancing With The Stars in the US, where he made the final. However, he was forced to quit the US version of SAS: Who Dares Wins after doctors became concerned about his elevated heart rate.

Jack said after leaving the show: “The show's doctors were more concerned than I was. I'm pretty healthy considering I'm living with MS, but it doesn't present itself daily for me. I've been, touch wood, going pretty strong, and I don't have any issues with it right now. So that wasn't a concern.”

I’m A Celebrity bosses are said to be keeping a close eye on Jack in particular after it was reported that humidity levels in the jungle have soared to 20% higher than normal at this time of the year, according to The Sun. Humid and uncomfortable conditions can exacerbate symptoms of MS with stifling atmospheres causing strain on the body, as well as causing dehydration and heat stress.
