Is Morning Live on today? Why show isn't on BBC One, and where you can watch it instead
If you’ve just tuned into BBC One hoping to see Morning Live then you’ll be confused to see the Winter Olympics instead, but it is still on.
The BBC morning programme, which features a mix of current affairs, consumer issues, lifestyle features and expert commentary, is usually staple viewing for BBC One viewers on weekday mornings.
The show normally airs between 9.30am and 10.45am. But, today viewers will see that the programme has seemingly been replaced in the schedule by the Winter Olympics 2026.
But, fear not, Morning Live is still airing - just on sister channel BBC Two. So, if you switch over now then you’ll still catch most of the programme. It’s stil airing in it’s usual slot, just on the other BBC channel.
The reason for this is because the Winter Olympics is airing on BBC One for the next week, as it has been doing for the past week too.
Presenter Michelle Ackerley did warn viewers about the change earlier this month. She said: “A little heads up, actually, we’ll be on BBC Two from 9.30 for the next two weeks while the Winter Olympics are on.”
The 2026 Winter Olympics officially opened on Friday February 6, with the opening ceremony. The Games run until Sunday (February 22), so in total Morning Live will have been on BBC Two for around a fortnight by the time the Games have come to a close.
Morning Live will then returning to its usual home on BBC One. So, the show will continue to be on BBC Two for the rest of this week (Monday February 16, Tuesday February 17, Wednesday February 18, Thursday February 19 and Friday February 20). It will then be back on BBC One, in it’s usual time slot, on Monday February 23.
Previous episodes of Morning Live are available to watch now on BBC iPlayer.
