James Corden has played down the controversy over the Balthazar restaurant incident, saying he did “nothing wrong”.

The Late Late Show host, 44, even said he is feeling “zen” after being accused of bad behaviour by the New York eatery owner.

Corden was briefly barred from the venue on Monday after Keith McNally claimed he had been “extremely nasty” to his staff on two separate occasions.

McNally later climbed down after claiming to have received an apologetic call from the star.

Corden addressed the incident during an interview with the New York Times.

“I feel so zen about the whole thing. Because I think it’s so silly. I just think it’s beneath all of us.”
