James Corden is one of those divisive figures who brings out a range of opinions in the living room whenever Gavin and Stacey is on.

But it's not the first time Corden has made headlines for the wrong reasons or been involved in spats with others.

Mathew Horne

Despite the pair being close during their time as co-stars on Gavin and stacey and subsequent projects, rumours of a rift between the two have been rife.

After the 2000s, Corden has made a name for himself in the US which seems to have seen the pair drift further from one another.

Speaking to the Daily Star, Corden has stated the pair had “intense love for each other” and they “were one person for a long time."

But any potential feud here was perhaps best seen when Corden appeared on Piers Morgan’s Life Stories but was told that Mathew, 44, declined to take part.

Patrick Stewart

Perhaps James Corden's most bizarre spat to date is the verbal onslaught he and Patrick Stewart launched at one another on stage back in 2010.

At the Glamour Women of the Year event, which Corden was hosting, Stewart was critical of his presenting style and thus the famous 'belly' row erupted.

Stewart began to mock Corden for his visible belly, and Corden hit back with jokes over Stewart's age commenting: "I can see you dying right now."

Thankfully, the pair appear to be on better terms now and Stewart has even appeared on Corden's Late Late Show.

Ricky Gervais

Another fellow Brit who Corden has had a war of words with is fellow comedian Ricky Gervais.

The pair have launched insults at one another for years despite having similar career trajectories.

On Corden's chat show, he has been critical of Gervais' approach to hosting big events like the Golden Globes and the gags he would land here.

While hosting the Globes in 2020, Gervais launched explicit insults against Corden in reference to his role in the film Cats.
