Jennifer, who has been extremely quiet about infertility throughout her three-decade career in the spotlight, has confessed the 'baby-making road' was 'really hard'.

As she graced the cover of Allure magazine in a tiny Chanel bikini, she bared all by saying that after all the years of speculation, she had a hard journey trying IVF, 'throwing everything at it.'

She said: “I would've given anything if someone had said to me, ‘Freeze your eggs, do yourself a favour.’ You just don’t think [about] it. So here I am today. The ship has sailed.”

The Emmy-winning actress, who has two public marriages and divorces with actors Brad Pitt and Justin Theroux, opened up saying that her mindset has changed now.

She continued: “I have zero regrets. I actually feel a little relief now because there is no more, ‘Can I? Maybe, maybe, maybe. I don’t have to think about that anymore.”

Speaking to Allure, Jennifer discussed the level of media speculation following her divorces with Brad Pitt in 2005 and again to Theroux in 2017, and insisted that although narratives suggested that she was too focused on her career or 'would not' give them children were 'absolute lies'.

Jennifer said: “I’ve spent so many years protecting my story about IVF. I’m so protective of these parts because I feel like there’s so little that I get to keep to myself. The [world] creates narratives that aren’t true, so I might as well tell the truth.

“I feel like I’m coming out of hibernation. I don’t have anything to hide.”

Jennifer’s IVF story is the latest in celebrities revealing their pregnancy journeys with others including Hugh Jackman, Emma Thompson and Sarah Jessica Parker opening up.

British acting royalty Emma Thompson has two children named Gaia Wise and Tindyebwa Wise, however, she has previously discussed that the journey has not been an easy one.

The Harry Potter actress suffered a miscarriage in 1997, before giving birth two years later to Gaia through IVF. Despite this, she failed to get pregnant for several years and said she fell “into a deep clinical depression.”

In 2003, with her partner Greg Wise, Emma adopted a former child soldier from Rwanda called Tindy as she 'judged [herself] harshly for not providing my daughter with a sibling.'

American actress Gabrielle Union shared her troubles in a tell-all book about her near ten miscarriages and describing her body as a 'prisoner of trying to get pregnant.'

In 2018, Gabrielle was diagnosed with adenomyosis meaning she was unable to carry a child, therefore welcomed her only daughter Kaavia via surrogate.

Although, Chrissy Teigen and John Legend are picture-perfect parents to their two children on social media, the pair have had their problems when trying to conceive.

Chrissy told Tyra Banks: “John and I were having trouble. We would have had five [kids] six years ago if it had happened. But my gosh, it’s been a process.”

Similarly, Hugh Jackman and his wife Deborra-Lee Furness have revealed that their infertility battle was a 'difficult time' after having multiple failed IVFs and several miscarriages.

Their two children Oscar, now 22, and Ava Eliot, 17, are both adopted.

Lastly, in the wake of Jennifer Aniston’s tell-all interview with Allure, many remember Sarah Jessica Parker’s journey with husband Matthew Broderick who, although carrying their first child, had to have their twins via surrogate.
