Jeremy Clarkson will be partly celebrating his win after a successful appeal against his local authority to make changes to his farmland.

The Diddly Squat owner won half of the battle with West Oxfordshire District Council. The Planning Inspectorate granted Jeremy permission for an extension and changes to his land but denied the addition of building a restaurant

According to the BBC Inspector RJ Perrins' report states that the council objected to the plans of making it a "mixed agricultural and leisure attraction use, comprising café, restaurant, gift/farm shop, parking and lavatory facilities".

In a previous hearing back in March business owners spoke about the benefits the farm had brought to the community. However some residents in the area disputed this and described how the increase in traffic and tourism had caused many disruptions. The report also described the farm as a “victim of its own success.”

The good news is that the TV presenter has been granted permission for 'temporary parking and provision of new access arrangements. But the bad news is there won't be a restaurant.

This will come as a bit of a blow for Jeremy and fans who are desperate for a Diddly Squat restaurant but we are sure it won't be the last time we hear about plans to build one. Although it's not happening right now things may change in the future - fingers crossed.
