Jodie Comer and Paul Mescal were celebrating on Sunday evening after both winning gongs at the Olivier Awards in London for their theatre performances. Jodie won Best Actress for her one woman play ‘Prima Facie’ and Paul won Best Actor for his role as Stanley Kowalski in ‘A Streetcar Named Desire’. The 'Killing Eve' actress stunned in a show stopping red Alexander McQueen ball gown with 'Normal People' actor Paul looked his usual dapper self in a tuxedo suit.
Jodie gave an inspirational acceptance speech, and said: “I would like to say to any kids who haven't been to drama school, who can't afford to go to drama school, who has been rejected from drama school, don't let anyone tell you that it isn't possible." It might take the stars to align and you to be met with generous, kind, patient people but it is possible.”

Hide AdPaul’s speech brought some fans to tears after he thanked his mother Deborah who is currently undergoing treatment for cancer and added "I hope you get better." But it was the pair’s chemistry whilst posing for pictures that really got everyone talking. Fans couldn't cope as the actors stood next to each other smiling and laughing on the red carpet.
One person wrote on Twitter “I'm sorry but Paul Mescal and Jodie Comer are not the most PERFECT COUPLE! Insanely talented, distractingly beautiful, adorable and so humble. Someone set this up." Another asked “Why are Jodie Comer and Paul Mescal not married?????? They look so beautiful together.”
Fans could be in luck as Paul recently split from singer-songwriter Phoebe Bridgers after a two year relationship. The Irish actor sparked relationship rumours when he was photographed with Angelina Jolie but an insider quickly shut down the rumours and told US Weekly “the actress just wanted to meet Paul after she and Shiloh enjoyed watching his play.
According to reports Jodie is also currently single. The actress was dating American Lacrosse player James Burke in 2020. Jodie is very private about her personal life but did confirm her relationship with James in an interview with Vogue that same year. Since then nothing has been mentioned, so it would appear they are no longer an item. This is however great news for fans as a relationship between Jodie and Paul could happen ‘It might [just] take the stars to align’.
