Joey Essex: Is former TOWIE star becoming the British Pete Davidson after being seen with various love interests?

American comedian Pete Davidson has been making headlines recently for his ability to score stunning girlfriends with the likes of Ariana Grande, Kim Kardashian and Emily Ratajskowksi all appearing on his arm over the past four years.

And much like Ariana’s lyric ‘switching positions with you’, former TOWIE star Joey Essex seems to be fulfilling the role as the British Pete Davidson.

This side of the pond, the television personality who also has a knack for making audiences laugh, has echoed the ‘Davidson’ effect after being seen kissing three ladies in recent weeks.

Joey was first seen smooching Love Island’s Maura Higgins at the 2022 Pride of Britain Awards in late October, before leaving with the Irish beauty in a shared taxi.

Maura has since put the claims that the pair were ‘smitten’ with one another and had been on ‘secret dates’ to bed, citing that the news headlines were ‘more rubbish’ in a Tweet.

On the other hand, Joey appeared to have left the passionate kiss in the past as the following week the reality star looked particularly comfortable with his current Dancing on Ice partner Vanessa Bauer.

The pair, who will be gracing the ice on ITV in January next year, have walked red carpets, attended the NEON management Christmas party and James Argent’s birthday together and looked very cosy in training clips.

Despite Vanessa meeting Joey’s friends, she has also been quick to suggest that they are ‘just friends’ who are enjoying training together.

In light of this, the single Joey decided to heat things up further by kissing Emily Atack behind the scenes of the last ever Celebrity Juice episode.

The two previous I’m A Celebrity contestants appeared on the Keith Lemon show, before the host questioned them as to whether they had kissed.

As Joey said, ‘a gentleman never tells’ a clip was played showing the stars sharing a kiss before running through a doorway.

So although Pete and Joey share the ability to catch the eye of beautiful ladies, the American Casanova keeps his couples ‘United’ while the Brit enjoys life as a single man.
