In episode one Kate and Dr Singh met with a fashion influencer who is suffering from fibroids.

The condition is debilitating for Hilda who does not know how to manage the pain.

The experts take a deep dive into what fibroids are and talk Hilda through the options she has to reduce the impact they have on her everyday life.

Presenters on the show are shocked when they find the size of the fibroids in the woman’s uterus which often cause three week long periods.

Hilda’s uterus is 40%  bigger than the average and she has over 100 fibroids.

Episode two will focus on Rozi, a grandmother to 23 grandchildren.

The elderly woman has struggled with the impact of Covid-19 and wants to learn more about the virus.

The episode will also explore chronic pain with Adrian who has an enlarged prostate.

Kate and Dr Singh use virtual reality and 3D images to show patients inside their own bodies.

The new technology is cutting edge and throughout the series it will explore how patients can use information to improve their health and their experience with healthcare.

The documentary style show will take a look at the current state of the UK’s health service and how it can be better utilised by modern equipment such as VR.

Who is Kate Garraway and why is she involved with the show?

Kate Garroway is a broadcaster and journalist.

The 54-year old is known for her work with ITV News Central and GMTV.

She is currently a co-anchor on Good Morning Britain and presents her own radio show on Smooth Radio.

Kate has said that she wanted to be involved in the new TV show because her own family has suffered with medical issues in recent years.

Her husband Derek Draper contracted Covid-19 and became seriously ill during the pandemic.

Kate empathises with the subjects in the show as she has been in the position where she too wished she could see inside a loved one’s body to understand a medical condition.

The second episode will air on BBC Two on 9 March at 8pm.

There will be six episodes in total in the series.

All episodes will be an hour long and will be available on the BBC iPlayer to stream after initially being aired on BBC Two.
