As Kevin Costner films Yellowstone amid divorce from wife Christine Baumgartner, what is his net worth?

Kevin Costner is in for the ride of his life as the Yellowstone actor’s wife Christine Baumgartner files for divorce after 18 years of marriage.

TMZ initially broke the news after finding papers filed by Christine on Monday, citing ‘irreconcilable differences’ between the pair who welcomed two sons and a daughter after tying the knot on Costner’s 160-acre ranch in Aspen.

Kevin’s team confirmed the split stating: “It is with great sadness that circumstances beyond his control have transpired which have resulted in Mr. Costner having to participate in a dissolution of marriage action. We ask that his, Christine's, and their children's privacy be respected as they navigate this difficult time.”

Christine is reportedly not seeking spousal support for Cayden, 15, Hayes, 14 and Grace, 12, as there is a prenuptial agreement in place between the former model and hand-bag designer, 49 and Dances with Wolves star, 68.

This will be Costner’s second time in divorce court after previously separating from his first wife Cindy Silva in 1994. 

The couple married shortly after they graduated from California State University, Fullerton when Kevin was looking to start his acting career and Cindy worked as a character actor for princesses like Cinderella (fitting for her name) and Snow White in Disneyland.

Unlike the Magical Kingdom, the pair did not find their happy ending after 16 years of marriage and three children as reports suggested Kevin went on to have an affair with a hula dancer called Michele Amaral, who he met while making the flop Waterworld in Hawaii.

News of the alleged infidelity broke when someone who worked on Waterworld saw Amaral ‘creeping out’ of Costner’s $4,500-a-day villa before the whistle blower was fired from the production.

Amaral was not the only lady linked to Costner during his first marriage between 1978 and 1994, as he told Parade Magazine in 1995 that he was also connected to Playboy model Angie Everheart and Steve Wynn’s daughter, the casino magnate, which ‘was hard on Cindy and our children. It didn’t help things.’

As a result, Cindy was awarded a whopping $80 million in settlement money, which makes us wonder - will the Yellowstone actor have to fork out another lump sum despite the alleged prenuptial agreement between Kevin and his current wife Christine, in addition to wondering what his net worth is?

The two-time Academy Award winner has amassed a net worth of approximately $250 million from his roles as an actor, film director, producer and musician, while former model Christine is worth $7 million.
