The caption read: “Today… young, Love Island super fans all came true (followed by an overwhelmed emoji). “You’re looking at the HOSTS of the OFFICIAL LOVE ISLAND PODCAST BABY!!!”
His followers including his girlfriend Zara McDermott (and former Love Island contestant) were quick to share in his delight. Zara said: “I couldn’t be prouder of you!!! followed by two heart emojis.
Whilst super fan Sam Thompson is delighted to have his dreams come true by becoming part of the show, you might be surprised to read that there are more than a few other celebrity fans who are massive fans of Love Island too.
One such fan is Lizzo who is not only a fan of Love Island but Indiyah Polack too. She tweeted on the August 2 2022 and affectionately referred to Indiyah as “the baddest.”

A-list star Margot Robbie and Love Island are not two things you would expect to read in the same sentence, but Margot is also a big fan of the show. She also reportedly once said that she would even like to play 2018 winner Dani Dyer in a film. Can you believe it?
Another big name star who has connections with Love Island is Stormzy (who is incidentally the former boyfriend of the show’s new host Maya Jama). He actually made a guest appearance on the TV show back in 2017 where he made a cameo via video link.
Those of you who watched the 2019 Love Island series may be surprised to hear that comedienne Amy Schumer was a fan of one of the contestants, Maura Higgins. She said she felt ‘connected to her.’ Amy is clearly not only a fan of Maura but the show too as she appeared on After Sun via video chat.
