Nicole Kidmann has returned to our screens in another take on a Liane Moriarty novel, in new miniseries Nine Perfect Strangers.
Kidman previously also starred in Big Little Lies, another series based on Moriarty’s writing.
Nine Perfect Strangers will leave viewers wondering whether that yoga retreat or holistic weekend is really a good idea, as a group of inspired city dwellers undergo the questionable therapies of retreat founder Masha (Kidman).
So, what is Nine Perfect Strangers about, who is in the cast and where can you watch it? This is everything you need to know.
What is ‘Nine Perfect Strangers’ about?
Nine Perfect Strangers is an eight-part series about a wellness retreat run by unorthodox guru, Masha.
The 10 day long retreat attracts a group of stressed and overworked city folk, inspired to relax, rejuvenate and revitalise. It all sounds just too good to be true.
Instead of massages, yoga and green tea, they experience the unusual practices of Masha.
While the series is steeped in mystery, it is hilarious, relatable and perfect bingeable tv.
Who is in the cast?
Starring alongside Kidman is the always hilarious Melissa McCarthy (Bridesmaids, The Heat).
Supporting actors also include Luke Evans (The Pembrokeshire Murders), Melvin Gregg (Snowfall, American Scandal), Australian model and actress Samara Weaving (Guns Akimbo, Snake Eyes) and Michael Shannon (Knives Out, Boardwalk Empire).
Nicole Kidman leads yet again for creator David E Kelley, who also cast her for his work on The Undoing (2020) and Big Little Lies (2017).
Where can you watch Nine Perfect Strangers?
Nine Perfect Strangers premiered on Amazon Prime Video on Friday, August 20.
The series’ first three episodes will be available on release, with the other five releasing weekly on Fridays until the final episode airs on September 24.
