No need for social media leaks, the Wagatha Christie drama between Rebekah Vardy and Coleen Rooney is being depicted on Channel 4.
Starting in 2019, a modern day ‘whodunnit’ began as Rooney accused former friend Vardy of sharing information to newspaper, The Sun.

Hide AdA £1 million defamation lawsuit was launched in June 2020 and the case was heard over several sittings at the High Court, before coming to a conclusion in July 2022 whereby Rooney walked away victorious.
The two-part series which has been donned 'the best TV show of the year' by some fans, aired on 21-22 December respectively.
Despite the encouraging label, the television show has been met with mixed reviews, with half the audience getting ‘sucked in’ to the narrative while the other half are disappointed that the two famous WAGs and footballers do not feature.
In their place, two well-known actresses were shown on the small screen, navigating the two-year trial with Michael Sheen overseeing proceedings as ‘Daniel Sherborne’.

Chanel Cresswell
32-year-old Chanel Cresswell takes on the role of Coleen Rooney in the Channel 4 drama following on from her credits as Kelly Jenkins in the This is England film and series franchise.
Chanel took on the role of Kelly in 2006, at the age of 16, and won a BAFTA for Best Supporting Actress in 2016 for the part.
Chanel, who was born in Smalley Derbyshire, has numerous other television appearances in shows such as Vera, Trollied, Casualty and Death in Paradise.

Many will know Natalia from her characters Nymphadora Tonks or Osha from the Harry Potter and Games of Thrones franchises, so will be excited to see Natalia take on Rebekah Vardy.
The London-born actress and musician, born in 1984, made her acting debut in 2002 in the Hugh Grant film About a Boy before undertaking the career full-time a year later.
Natalia appeared in four of the Harry Potter films and several episodes of the HBO series Game of Thrones, but has also gained recognition from being the lead singer of her band Molotov Jukebox.
