The Big Fat Quiz of Everything 2022: C4 release date, who is host, and line up including Joanne McNally

The Big Fat Quiz is returning with six comedians ready to answer host Jimmy Carr’s questions about, well, everything.

The Big Fat Quiz of the year started in 2004, with questions posed to celebrity panellists about events from the last 12 months.

Since then it has been held annually and spawned several special shows including The Big Fat Quiz of the 80s, 90s, and 00s.

The first Big Fat Quiz of Everything was held in 2016 and these quizzes feature questions on a range of subjects including history, geography, films, television, music, science and sport.

When is The Big Fat Quiz of Everything 2022 on TV?

The show will air on Channel 4 on Sunday, 3 April at 9pm.

The programme is 2 hours long. It will be available to watch on All 4 shortly after it is first broadcast.

Who is The Big Fat Quiz of Everything 2022 host?

Jimmy Carr is returning to host the show - he has helmed every version of The Big Fat Quiz since it first started.

Carr is a standup comedian known for pushing the boundaries of dark comedy.

He is best known for hosting the comedy game show 8 Out of 10 Cats, and its spin-off series 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown.

Carr is currently on tour with his latest standup show Terribly Funny.

Who is on The Big Fat Quiz of Everything lineup?

There will be three teams of two comedians on the quiz - here are the teams:

Rob Beckett and Mawaan Rizwan

Beckett is a standup comedian and presenter who co-hosted I’m a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! NOW! From 2012-2014.

He competed in Taskmaster season three and went on to win the show, and has appeared on Big Fat Quiz twice before.

Beckett has also been a team captain on 8 Out of 10 Cats since 2016, and co-presents the comedy travel series Rob & Romesh vs... with fellow comedian Romesh Ranganathan.

Rizwan began his career on YouTube which launched him on TV roles.

He starred as Nicky in comedy series Two Weeks to Live alongside Game of Thrones actress Maisie Williams.

Rizwan also appeared on Taskmaster, but fared less well than Beckett, coming in third place on season 10 of the show.

Richard Ayoade and Rosie Jones

Richard Ayoade is a comedy actor best known for his role of the socially awkward Maurice Moss in sitcom The IT Crowd.

He presented the last three seasons of Gadget Man and the spinoff series Travel Man.

Ayoade has appeared on 16 Big Fat Quiz outings before making him the most experienced of the comics, apart from Jimmy Carr.

Rosie Jones began performing standup comedy in 2017 and has appeared on a host of panel shows.

Jones has featured on 8 Out of 10 Cats, its Countdown spinoff, and The Last Leg.

She has written for The Last Leg, 8 Out of 10 Cats, Cats Does Countdown, QI and Hypothetical and co-wrote one episode of Sex Eudcation.

Roisin Conaty and Joanne McNally

Roisin Conaty has guest starred in several comedy series including After Life and Man Down.

She is another of the panellists to have appeared on Taskmaster, and is the worst of the lot, coming stone dead last in the show’s first season.

Conaty has also been on panel shows including A League of Their Own, Would I Lie to You? and Cats Does Countdown.

Conaty appeared on Big Fat Quiz for the third last year and she was on a team with Rob Beckett.

Joanne McNally is an Irish comedian who began performing standup in 2014.

She co-wrote and starred in the comedy show Separated at Birth about her experiences being adopted.

McNally hosts the comedy podcast My Therapist Ghosted Me with her friend Vogue Williams.
