BBC are being ‘faithful’ to the hugely successful show ‘The Traitors’ as a second season has been confirmed. 

The psychological reality game show, which is based on strategy and suspicion, sees 22 competitors both ‘traitors’ and ‘faithfuls’ try to detect the liar among them or stay hidden respectively, while bidding for up to £120,000.

After gaining over 34 million views on BBC iPlayer, Claudia Winkleman is set to go back to Ardross Castle in Scotland along with a whole new cast of characters, which could include you - PeopleWorld shows you how to apply for the second series:

Claudia Winkleman, who is currently hosting The Piano, announced she was returning to the show and called for people who could ‘spot a liar’ or ‘could betray those around you’ to apply for the BBC show.

When the news was announced on Monday, Claudia said: “I can’t wait to go back to the castle to watch people play the greatest game on television. I’m knitting a high funnel sweater immediately.”

With applications closing on 31 July 2023, fans of The Traitors have five months to enter but must be at least 18 years of age, have a right to legally work or reside in the UK and be available for six weeks from summer to autumn this year.

Should one want to be a traitor or a faithful is up to them, as they will have to explain their decision when giving their name and details online. 

A key aspect to note is that the applicant must also not be a relative or have any affiliation with a member of the BBC or The Traitor’s production company, All3Media.
