Big winners of the night included ITV’s ‘The Chase’, for best ‘Game Show’, with host of the show Bradley Walsh winning ‘TV Personality’. Piers Morgan took home the ‘Interview of the year’ for his sit-down with Cristiano Ronaldo.

It was the first time in four years that 'This Morning' didn’t win the ‘Daytime’ award  losing out to Channel 4’s ‘A Place in the Sun’. The biggest shock of the night was Nigel Farage winning the ‘News Presenter’ award beating off competition from the other nominees, Eamonn Holmes, Piers Morgan, Stephen Dixon and Susanna Reid.

It wasn't a complete loss for Susanna as 'Good Morning Britain' won the ‘TRIC Special Award’. The ‘TRIC Special Recognition Award’ went to radio presenter James Whale.
