Extrapolations: watch the trailer for star-studded Apple TV+ series featuring Sienna Miller and Edward Norton

Is Apple TV+ becoming the streaming service du jour for binge-worth television series? If the success of Ted Lasso and Severance is anything to go by, it would be a fair assumption to make. Add the climate-change drama series Extrapolations onto your viewing list for 2023 - with an incredible lineup of talent announced for the series.

The series follows an ensemble cast as they deal with the consequences of climate change, and how its chaotic effects have become embedded into the everyday lives of the characters in anthology form. “Eight interwoven stories about love, work, faith and family from across the globe will explore the intimate, life-altering choices that must be made when the planet is changing faster than the population. Every story is different, but the fight for our future is universal” the official synopsis reads.

The series is written, directed and executive produced by Scott Z. Burns, who was involved in works that intertwine different narratives including Contagion, An Inconvenient Truth and The Report - works that all have a focus on very topical issues at the time of their release. Apple TV+ has also confirmed that the series will run for eight episodes, with a tightly knitted series of stories running across the length of the series.

It’s been the announcement of the cast involved, however, that has gotten audiences very excited about the show: Sienna Miller, Kit Harington, Meryl Streep, David Schwimmer, Forest Whittaker, Michael Gandolfini, Tobey Maguire, Marion Cotillard… we could go on (and will do after the trailer.)

The show also features a rare television series appearance by Edward Norton, fresh from his most recent acting role in the Netflix Original Glass Onion, playing the role of eccentric billionaire Miles Bron who many believe to be a parody of Elon Musk. That matter is subject to debate.

Extrapolations begins on Apple TV+ on March 13 2023, with a new episode uploaded to the streaming service every Wednesday thereon in.
