What time is EastEnders on today? Fans warned of Christmas Day double-bill schedule - timings confirmed
EastEnders hit screens this Christmas with huge dramatic storylines set to thrill viewers.
The BBC soap is back for its annual Christmas Day installment, with no shortage of festive drama on Albert Square.
The run up to Christmas has already seen the return of the like of the iconic Pat Butcher and Barry Evans in a special episode that focused on Nigel’s ongoing battle with dementia. Now, as Christmas Day descends on Walford, there will be no shortage of shocking storylines.
Zoe’s stalker hell is set to come to a head as the identify of her tormentor looks set to be revealed. At the same time, Max Branning and Cindy Beale will clash over festivities, with the pair finally meeting following Max’s hand in the death of Cindy’s son Steven.

Elsewhere, Sam Mitchell makes her return to the square - but could she have anything to do with Zoe’s stalker? Actress Michelle Ryan, who plays Zoe, recently teased a possible reveal, saying: “Sam is adamant that she isn’t involved, but the pair do have history when it comes to Den. Zoe hasn’t had an easy life, so there is an argument, in her mind, that she has more than paid for her involvement in his murder.
“But Sam initially took the blame, and was incarcerated for the crime, so it wouldn’t be beyond the realms of possibility to think that she might be involved. Zoe has chosen to believe her, but I don’t think Kat is so sure.”
The Christmas Day episode comes ahead of a first for the soap, as it prepares to show a flash-forward episode on New Years’ Day showing what lies in store for Max one year from then.
To find out the true identity of Zoe’s stalker and the drama surrounding the Brannings and Beale, here’s how you can tune into the EastEnders action on Christmas Day.
