For those who didn’t get a chance to watch the show when it aired, the episodes are usually uploaded to Channel 4’s catch up platform, All 4, within hours.

So, why isn’t episode two available on the app and when will it be repeated on TV? This is what you need to know.

Why is Bake Off not on catch up?

GBBO episode two has yet to be uploaded to catch up as Channel 4 is experiencing technical difficulties following a fire at one of its output studios last weekend (Saturday 25 September).

A spokesperson for Channel 4 told NationalWorld that Bake Off had been affected by these issues, adding: “we continue to experience some technical challenges with our services and we apologise for the on-going difficulties but we’re working with our playout provider Red Bee to resume normal service as soon as possible.”

The issues are persisting after over four days of attempting to get Channel’s back up and running again.

Bake Off isn’t the only hit show the Channel’s audience had difficulties watching as Married At First Sight UK was not available to watch on All 4 on Sunday night.

At the weekend, Channel 4 released a statement when some of the broadcaster’s channels stopped working.

"Channel 4 and More 4 are currently off air due to a technical problem. We are working to restore them as quickly as possible,” it read.

E4 added in a social media statement: "Due to a technical problem there are a number of channels off air right now - including E4. We are working to restore them as quickly as possible."

Red Bee Media, who handles the broadcasting for a number of channels, said in a statement: "We confirm that all staff at our Broadcast Centre in West London were safely evacuated following activation of the fire suppression systems this evening.

"As a result of this incident and the automatic safety measures set in motion at the time, several services originating from the Broadcast Centre have been disrupted.”

Live television is only available to those who pay their tv licence, meaning anyone who relies on the app for Channel 4 shows would need to wait until it begins working again.

When is The Great British Bake Off repeated on TV?

For those who do have access to live television, you can catch up on episode two of GBBO on Sun 2 October at  1:30pm.
