What time is Gladiators on at tonight? Fans of BBC hit show warned as new episode to air at different time

Gladiators fans are being warned that the newest episode of the hit BBC show will air at a slightly different time this weekend.

The physical challenge show returns with its fifth episode of the series this weekend after returning to screen last month.

Gladiators has become a Saturday night mainstay after the rebooted show launched in 2023. But viewers are being warned that the newest episode will not be shown at teatime on Saturday evening (February 14).

While Gladiators has consistently been airing in the 5.45pm slot in BBC One’s Saturday night schedule for the past month, this week’s episode has been moved to a later time of 8pm. It will also be available on BBC iPlayer from this time.

This is because the BBC are instead carrying coverage of the FA Cup fixture between Aston Villa and Newcastle United on Saturday evening. The coverage, brought to fans from live Villa Park, will begin at 5.30pm with the match set to kick-off at 5.45pm.

Therefore, Gladiators will be moved back in the schedule to accommodate the BBC’s live football coverage.

Nest week’s episode, which will air on Saturday, February 21, is also set to be disrupted as the BBC shows live coverage of the Six Nations match between Wales and Scotland. This episode will be shown on BBC One at 7.15pm.

However, back to this week’s episode of Gladiators, as presenter Barney and Bradley Walsh introduce the last round of the heats, as four more contender compete to best the Gladiators in some iconic games and secure the final spots in the quarter-finals.

Gladiator Legend also returns to screen, but this time as a referee after he tore his bicep muscle in last week’s episode. The cocky Gladiator wasn’t going to let a little injury stop him from being the star of the show, as he donned the famous striped shirt and joins Mark Clattenburg’s team as the new assistant ref.

Gladiators continues at 8pm tonight on BBC One and BBC iPlayer. You can catch up on the series so far on BBC iPlayer.
