Chalet Oberbort: Plans unveiled for Switzerland's most expensive ski chalet - with a rent of about £13m a year
A Swiss billionaire is set to build the world's most expensive ski chalet in an exclusive alpine resort, with an annual rent of around £13m.
Byron Baciocchi, 36, the head of real estate firm Unica Capital, is said to be behind the project, which has been billed as the world’s largest and most expensive ski chalet with three connected villas planned for ultra-wealthy guests, in the upscale resort town of Gstaad.

The development has been named Chalet Oberbort and reports on December 13 said it will be built on Oberbortstrasse, described as one of the most prestigious chalet districts in the resort.
The site is expected to be offered for annual rental at between 12m and 14m Swiss francs (£11m and £13m).
That would equate to a monthly rent of roughly 1.16m francs (£1.09m), with the chalet complex tipped for completion by 2028.

The wider complex will feature 11 bedrooms, each with a walk-in wardrobe and an adjoining bathroom.
Guests are set to be served around the clock by live-in staff, with eight dedicated staff bedrooms planned.
The entertainment area will include a private cinema, a Formula 1 simulator, a dancefloor and a bowling alley, as well as a wine cellar and a cigar lounge.
Baciocchi and his business partner Max Herve George, 36, were ranked 167th in Bilanz magazine’s 2023 list of the 300 richest people in Switzerland.
