Nine people dead in bus crash after vehicle rolled off the road - how many other people are in hospital?
Nine people have died after a bus rolled off the road, according to authorities.
According to governors in Turkey, an intercity bus rolled into an embankment Antalya city centre, a part of southern Turkey that is popular with tourists.
The DHA news agency reported that some passengers were thrown from the bus, which had travelled overnight from Tekirdag in Turkey’s north-west.

Antalya, a popular travel destination on the Mediterranean, has been hit by heavy rain in recent days.
Principal governor Hulusi Sahin has confirmed that a total of 21 people were injured, with seven of them suffering critical and life-changing injuries.
He said: “The ground was wet and there was also fog in the area. It’s not a place to speed, but it seems the bus was speeding.”
It comes as a further seven people died in a head-on car crash in Burdur, 40 miles north of Dosemealti, on the same day.
Interior minister Ali Yerlikaya took to social media to lament a “traffic culture” that saw 6,351 people die on Turkey’s roads in 2024 and outline existing proposals to tighten traffic laws.
