Scotland lockdown rules: the Covid restrictions that will change today in roadmap out of lockdown
Scotland will see an easing in lockdown rules from today thanks to continued falling Covid case rates and the success of the vaccine rollout. These are all of the measures that will be eased.
1. Level 4 to Level 3
Mainland Scotland and islands at Level 4 will move to Level 3 of the Scottish Government’s five tiers of restrictions on 26 April. Islands at Level 3 will remain there until 17 May. Photo: Jeff J Mitchell
2. Socialising in public places
Up to six people from two households can socialise indoors in a public place, such as a cafe or restaurant. Photo: Shutterstock
3. Indoor hospitality
Hospitality venues, including pubs, restaurants and cafes, can open until 8pm indoors, without alcohol, and outdoors where alcohol can be consumed. Local licencing laws will apply outdoors. Photo: Jeff J Mitchell
4. Shops
