

Covid hotspots: 15 areas in the UK with the highest infection rates
Covid infection rates have been rising in many parts of the UK, with one town recording a six-fold increase in just a week.
Lower Earley North in Wokingham, Berkshire, saw the rate of cases per 100,000 residents jump from 110 to 681 in the week to November 20.
Torridge, in North Devon, currently has the highest Covid case rate of any UK local authority.
There were 710 cases detected there in the week to November 20, equivalent to 1033.2 cases per 100,000 people, according to the Government’s coronavirus dashboard.
Here’s a look at the top 15 lower-tier council areas in the UK with the highest infection rates.
