The latest data from Public Health England shows that infection rates have decreased in every local authority area in England - the first time this has happened in all 315 areas simultaneously since comparable figures began more than a year ago.
While case rates are still high in many parts of the country, the slow decline in new cases suggests that the third wave of coronavirus, which began at the end of May, may have peaked.
But which areas of England have the highest Covid-19 rates at the moment? Listed is every region of the country and the latest coronavirus rates per 100,000 population, in the week to 29 July. Regions are listed with the highest rates first, down to the lowest. Images are for illustrative purposes.
