Boris Johnson said it is becoming clearer that the speed of the rollout has broken the link between infection and mortality, and officials are urging anyone who has still yet to receive a jab to come forward.

Almost 80 million people in the UK have now received at least one dose of a Covid-19 vaccine, while 33.6 million are fully vaccinated - amounting to just over 50 per cent of the population.

Anyone who is aged under 40 and still yet to receive their jab will be given either the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine.

It is normal to experience some mild side effects after the jab and in some cases symptoms will be more intense after the second dose. If you receive the Pfizer Covid-19 vaccine, here are 10 side effects.
