Covid positivity rate: the 15 areas in England with the highest proportion of people testing positive for virus
These are the 15 councils across England with the highest rate of Covid positivity.
The positivity rate is the proportion of tests that come back positive, and is a good indication of levels of infection as it is not affected by changes in the number of tests taken - which overall case numbers are.
The data comes from the government, with people only being counted once - so if they took multiple tests in the one week period and got multiple positive results, they would only appear once in the data. Photos are for illustrative purposes only.
