

Covid hospital admissions: 15 England areas with the most coronavirus patients in hospital right now
The latest data from NHS England shows the seven-day average for admissions has started to decrease, suggesting the recent drop in coronavirus cases could be having an impact on hospital numbers.
However, while admissions appear to have peaked, the number of people in hospital with Covid-19 is still continuing to rise, although the rate of increase is slowing down. A total of 5,309 people were in hospital in England with coronavirus on 2 August, which is up five per cent on the previous week – the smallest week-on-week rise for nearly two months.
But which areas of England currently have the most coronavirus patients in hospital? Listed are the 15 NHS trusts with the highest number of Covid-19 patients, based on the latest available data up to 27 July. Images are for illustrative purposes only.
