More than 80% of the adult population in the UK is now fully vaccinated against Covid but infection rates are still rising across the country.
According to official figures published by the UK Government, 264, or 69%, of local authorities have seen a rise in infection rates per 100,000 of the population between 28th August and 3rd September. Just over 100 councils have seen a drop in infection rates for the same period.
