Dad Ashley Kent will remain "forever 32" after he died just four weeks after cancer diagnosis
A father who shared a two-year-old son with his girlfriend Zoe, who is also eight-months pregnant with their second child, has died just four weeks after being diagnosed with cancer. Ashley Kent, from Retford in Nottinghamshire was just 32 when he lost his brief battle with the disease.
Ashley and his ‘heartbroken’ partner were planning for the future and, according to friend Hollie Davis, like most people in their early thirties, did not anticipate having to face this kind of situation. Hollie has since set up a crowdfunding page to help support Ashley’s young family through this difficult time.

Zoe is due to give birth on October 19 and just six days later, will attend Ashley's funeral. Family and friends have so far raised thousands. The total currently stands at £4,410 of the £7,000 target. More than 100 people have made a donation in less than a week. Hollie said: She said: “If anybody can donate anything, big or small, it would be hugely appreciated. Rest in Peace Ash, forever 32.”
