Thousands of people in England are still testing positive for Covid every day.
The country has recorded 186,637 new coronavirus cases in the week to 24 September. This is a rate of 330 per 100,000 of the population.
Regionally, the East Midlands has recorded the highest rate in England in the past week, recording 446.2 positive cases per 100,000 of the population. There were 21,712 positive cases in total.
Data from the UK Government shows 48 neighbourhoods have recorded a positive case rate of over 1,000.
