Colleen Ballinger, 36, has addressed the allegations of inappropriate relationships with underage fans in a bizarre YouTube video. The comedian, actress and internet star known for her geeky character ‘Miranda Sings’ took to the streaming platform to share an 'apology' video.

The YouTuber shared a video on her 'Colleen vlogs' channel on Wednesday of her singing a song and playing the ukulele. In the video titled ‘Hi’ she sings “Some people are saying things about me that just aren’t true.” Colleen also explained that her team had advised her not to say ‘what I want to say’ but they never said ‘I couldn’t sing.’ She sings about the "lies” and “gossip" and denies the allegations that she describes as 'the toxic gossip train.'

Allegations have been made after a former fan who goes by the name ‘kodeerants’- who according to their LinkTree has quit social media - supported allegations made by YouTuber and ex-fan of Colleen, Adam McIntyre in 2020. 

Adam claimed he received a 'bra and panty set' from Colleen when he was 13 years old, which the comedian admitted was a ‘silly, stupid mistake’ that happened during a livestream when she was giving away clothes. 

At the time of Adam's allegations Colleen said "I don’t know what part of my brain was missing at the time, but I am not a monster, I am not a groomer, and I shouldn’t kill myself.”

Earlier in her career according to Variety, Colleen admitted “I used to message my fans — but not in a creepy way, like a lot of you are trying to suggest. It was more of a loser kind of way. I was just trying to be besties with everybody.”

After watching the 'apology' video Adam shared a video on his own YouTube channel of his reaction and shared a tweet on his

TMZ recently reported that Colleen has been losing sponsorship deals - including skincare brand OneSkin who has ended their relationship -after one of her videos resurfaced online. The video sees Colleen performing a prank on a female fan, a girl named Becky claiming to be the fan on stage shared a video on TikTok saying that she was left feeling traumatised by the prank. 

Colleen has been away from social media for three weeks and the 'apology' video was the first time she has returned to the video streaming platform since the TMZ report.

Who is Colleen Ballinger?

Colleen rose to fame as a YouTuber in 2009 after creating the character ‘Miranda Sings’ and portraying her in a one-woman comedy show. She also created and starred in the Netflix original series Haters Back Off as well as starring in many other film and TV projects.

 The internet star has over 3.37 million followers on her ‘Colleen Vlogs’ YouTube channel. She shares all sorts of content from comedy to life at home with her children and struggles to get pregnant after suffering a miscarriage. 

Who is Colleen Ballinger married to? 

The comedian was married to fellow YouTube star Joshua David Evans. The pair dated for several years and even toured together; they married in 2015 but divorced a year later. They both announced the divorce in separate YouTube videos. 

In 2018 Colleen married American actor Erik Stocklin. The couple have their own YouTube channel ‘Relax with Colleen and Erik' and the pair have three children together. 

Is Colleen Ballinger friends with Ariana Grande? 

Colleen and Ariana have been close friends since Colleen was 15 and before Ariana became a world famous pop star. Ariana has featured in a few of Colleen's vlogs and she has spoken about their friendship over the years. In one of her vlogs Colleen revealed she is still friends with the singer and her brother Frankie Grande.
