Is Kylie Jenner’s fashion rebrand her ‘quiet luxury’ era? As she steps out in more stylish fashion outfits

Kylie Jenner has recently been stepping up her style game. The youngest of the Kardashian/Jenner clan was spotted enjoying the Beyoncé concert in Paris with momager Kris Jenner on Wednesday looking effortlessly chic.

Kylie wore a nude coloured, boater neck top with natural looking makeup and hair swept back off her face. It seems worlds away from her usual look with her signature overlined lips, black cat-eyeliner and the barely-there outfits she has become known for. 

The 25 year-old has gone through a fashion rebrand which began when she showcased a whole new style aesthetic during her trip to Paris in May. Nothing says fashion overhaul like a new wardrobe. The beauty mogul opted for a more elegant and classic style for her European trip, leaning towards a neutral colour palette.

Kylie shared her four-day outfits in a TikTok video clip. On Monday she wore a black Bottega Veneta halter neck gown, Tuesday all-white Madeline mini-skirt and cropped jacket by creative director of Ferragamo, Wednesday a white Alaïa sundress with pleated skirt detail and on Thursday a black leather mini dress. 

Ok the last is a very typical K-Jenner style but the rest were a complete change from her usual Kylie style. The style earned her the nickname ‘King Kylie’ for her over-done makeup looks and scantily clad outfit choices in her previous fashion era.

Although not everyone is happy about her new style. People have accused Kylie of stealing former pal Sofia Richie Grainge’s ‘Old Money’ style also known as the ‘quiet luxury’ trend. Sofia’s signature style has evolved even more since she got married with fans praising her elegant minimalist style and logo-free outfits. 

Quiet luxury is defined as ‘the antithesis of fast fashion, with a focus on thoughtful shopping and wearing true investment pieces. A juxtaposition to the logomania that was trending over the past few years, it's a more minimalist approach to dressing’ according to The Everygirl.

Quiet luxury or Old money style is all about having money but not showing it off, emphasis on the quiet, and keeping everything low-key. Not something the Kardashian/Jenner's are known to do. We very much doubt it will stop Kylie from flaunting her extremely luxury lifestyle on social media too.

But it does appear that Kylie has definitely taken inspiration from Sofia’s style book and is now entering her own ‘quiet luxury’ era with a more mature and sophisticated look.
