For many, the most important thing about Christmas is spending time with their loved ones and, to enable people to spend as much time together as possible, some retail chains and supermarkets have decided to keep the doors to their stores closed on Boxing Day.
Most retailers won’t open any shops at all, but some may open a limited number of them. This means that if you want to bag yourself a good deal in the Boxing Day sales, you may need to start your bargain hunting online. 5. Iceland
Iceland supermarket will close all of it’s stores on 26 December to give its staff time to enjoy the festive season.
6. Waitrose
Waitrose will close all of its main stores on Boxing Day, but some petrol station stores may still be open. People are advised to check their local store to see if it is open.
7. John Lewis
John Lewis has said that its shops will be closed ‘as usual on Boxing Day’.
8. Home Bargains
Discount retailer Home Bargains said that all of its shops would close on December 26.
