Alexandre Arnault approaches the end of his first year as the executive vice-president of Tiffany & Co, and is ending it with what may be the collab of the year. Tiffany & Co are collaborating with popular brand Nike for the first time ever.

The collaboration comes after a new number of moves to modernise the 185-year old American jewellery company. The collaboration initially leaked when images of Nike Air Force Ones with Tiffany blue Swooshes began circulating on social media. However, that hasn’t stopped fans being sent into a frenzy.

Nike quickly responded to the leaks by sharing an image of an expensive-looking Tiffany blue box and the wording “A Legendary Pair" on its own social media accounts. Alexandre Arnault, Tiffany’s executive vice president of product and communications, and Ruba Abu-Nimah, the brand’s creative director also followed suit.

The reveal won’t come as a shock to fans who have seen the popular jewellery brand take more big swings since LVMH acquired it in 2021. However, this is the first time Tiffany & Co have entered the shoe game.

The move is the latest in a series of shake-ups Arnault has revealed during his first year in the role. Arnault undertook this role at the age of 29, but pulled no punches with his biggest swing. Just one month into his new role as executive vice president, Alexandre Arnault had already pitched an idea to Beyonce and Jay-Z.

The pitch resulted in the popular 2021 “About Love” campaign which launched in August. The campaign featured Beyoncé, wearing the 128-carat yellow Tiffany Diamond, appearing in the ads as a contemporary Audrey Hepburn alongside Jay-Z alongside Jean-Michel Basquiat’s 1982 painting Equals Pi. The image featured a background colour almost identical to Tiffany’s iconic aqua blue.

The couple are shown in clips throughout the ad in a playful and intimate manner as Beyonce sings “Moon River.” It’s Breakfast at Tiffany’s for the TikTok generation. It was the first in many moves he has, and plans, to make.

Alexandre Arnault is the second eldest son of Bernard Arnault who is the wealthiest person in the world according to Forbes in January 2023. Bernard Arnault is the founder, chairman and chief executive officer of LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton which is the world’s largest luxury goods company.

Alexandre Arnault is not the only child of Bernard to enter the fashion industry as his eldest daughter Delphine, 47, was recently appointed to run Christian Dior, the second-biggest brand in the luxury goods empire LVMH. Additionally, Frederic Arnault, 28, is chief executive of TAG Heuer, while the youngest child, Jean Arnault, 24, heads marketing and product development for Louis Vuitton’s watches division.
