Are Justin Bieber and Hailey Bieber the new King and Queen of denim?

Coordinating denim outfits may not be anything new in Hollywood, but one thing is for sure is that Justin Bieber and his wife Hailey Bieber are definitely at the forefront of it in 2023. The pair were spotted out and about in New York City wearing denim. Justin wore a denim jacket with navy trousers while wife Hailey wore denim jeans with a black leather jacket.

Justin Bieber and Hailey’s coordinating denim dressing is slightly different to how other celebrity couples have done it in recent years. Unlike the likes of former couples Justin Timberlake and Britney Spears and Kayne West and Julia Fox, Justin and Hailey haven’t gone for complete denim looks.

Who can forget Justin Timberlake and Britney Spears’s iconic matching denim look way back in 2001? Britney wore a strapless denim dress while Justin wore a cowboy denim hat and light wash denim suit to the American Music Awards.

Many said that Justin and Britney’s denim look defined the fashion of a decade and perhaps it was the precursor to the celebrity denim styles of today?

Another couple who ‘enjoyed’ the double denim look was Kanye West and his former girlfriend Julia Fox. They made their debut at Men’s Fashion Week in Paris last year in coordinating double denim outfits.

It would seem however that Justin and Hailey Bieber have moved on from the double denim look and are going for a more subtle nod to the style in 2023. Hailey and Justin are more about the ‘baggy jean’ look right now more than the ‘double denim’ style.

According to GQ magazine, Justin Bieber is winning at the baggy jean look right now. “Drake’s doing it, as is Ben Affleck, but no one is repping the baggy-is better trend as well as Justin Bieber right now,” a writer for GQ said.

Justin is not the fan of baggy jeans as his wife Hailey also seems to have a penchant for them too.

It’s fair to say that everybody (possibly with the expectation of Kate Middleton), will be pushing their skinny jeans to the back of their wardrobes now.
